The Angkor Mathematics Competition (AMC) is one of Cambodia’s largest and most inclusive mathematics competitions, open to students from Grades 1 to 12. Organized annually by Bright Education, AMC aims to promote mathematical excellence, critical thinking, and international collaboration.

What is Angkor Mathematics Competition (AMC)

Angkor Mathematics Competition (AMC) is an international mathematics competition designed to inspire students to develop strong problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and a deeper appreciation for mathematics.

AMC provides students with an opportunity to challenge themselves academically, compete with peers from different countries, and gain valuable international competition experience in a fair and motivating environment.

Competition Rules and Guidelines

Customizable Local Round Dates:

  • Partner countries have the flexibility to choose their own dates for the local round of AMC.

Support for Online Exams:

  • Option to conduct the local round as an online exam for greater accessibility.

Localized Examination Process:

  • Question papers are available in multiple languages (e.g., Khmer, English, Russian, Chinese) to cater to local needs.

Total Questions: 30 Multiple-choice Questions

  • 10 questions: 3 points each
  • 10 questions: 4 points each
  • 10 questions: 5 points each
  • Maximum score: 120 points
  • Total exam duration: 60 minutes
  • Test content: combination of logic and math
  1. Gold Medal Certificate: Awarded to the top 10% of students. 
  2. Silver Medal Certificate: Awarded to the next 20% of students. 
  3. Bronze Medals Certificate: Awarded to the next 30% of students. 
  4. Participation Certificates: Awarded to the last 40% of students.
